4 slices turkey bacon
1 heads fresh broccoli, chopped
3/4 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 large red onion, chopped
1/8 cup red wine vinegar
2 tsp splenda
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
Place bacon in a large skillet.
Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown.
Cut bacon into very small pieces.*
In a large bowl, combine broccoli, cheese, bacon and onion.
In a small bowl, whisk together the red wine vinegar, sugar, pepper, salt, mayonnaise and lemon juice.
Add the dressing to the salad.
Cover, and refrigerate until ready to serve.
*I use kitchen scissors for this. Turkey bacon does not crumble like regular bacon does.
