Broccoli Salad Recipe




2 heads fresh broccoli
1 red onion (optional)
1/2 pound center cut bacon
3/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/8 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup light mayonnaise
1/4 cup white sugar
2 TBSP white wine vinegar

Place bacon in a deep skillet and cook over medium high heat until evenly brown.
Drain, cool and crumble.
Cut the broccoli into bite-size pieces and cut the onion into thin bite-size slices.
Combine with the bacon, raisins, almonds, and sunflower seeds.
Mix well.

To prepare the dressing, mix the mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar together until smooth.
Stir into the salad.
Chill for 2-4 hours.
Serve.
