1 onion bagel*
2 TBSP reduced fat cream cheese
1 roma (plum) tomato
salt and pepper to taste
4 leaves fresh basil
Split the bagel in half and toast.
Spread cream cheese on each bagel half.
Top cream cheese with thinly sliced tomato.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Top with fresh chopped basil leaves. (if you don't have fresh, use dried)
*I use the smaller type lender's bagel from the grocery store freezer section.
They are low in calories and fat compared to the larger ones in the bakery area. Simply pull
out a bagel and defrost in the microwave. You don't have to worry about the bagels
going bad if you keep them in your freezer.
