Ahi Tuna Recipe
5 TBSP Balsamic Vinegar
2 TBSP Low Sodium Chicken Broth
2 Green Onions (finely chopped)
2 TBSP Ginger Root (peeled and chopped)
1 clove garlic (minced)
4 4-Ounce Tuna Steaks
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
5 TBSP Sesame Seeds
2 tsp Sesame Oil
Combine vinegar, chicken broth, green onions, ginger, and garlic in a bowl.
Add the ahi tuna steaks.
Cover and refrigerate for 20-40 minutes.
Remove tuna from marinade and season with pepper.
Reserve the marinade.
Spread sesame seeds out on a plate.
Press seeds onto both sides of the tuna steaks.
Heat a nonstick grill pan over high heat.
Add oil.
Sear the tuna one minute on each side.
Remove from the pan.
Reduce heat to medium and add the marinating juices.
Bring marinade to a boil for a few seconds, until it thickens slightly.
Pour over the tuna.
Serve.
